The mission of NoFLo NOMA is to sustain the legacy of the NOMA founders by serving as a resource and support system for design professionals and students. We will leverage our partnerships with design firms, allied professionals and universities to help increase the number of minority architects in the North Florida region.
Janel LeGard
Vice President
Janel LeGard is a native of Chicago, Illinois and is a registered architect in the state of Florida. She currently works for Haskell as a Senior Design Manager. She enjoys being a member of NOMA as it keeps her encouraged and connected with other within the architectural community and brings awareness to the next generation of architects. Janel is an active servant leader by volunteering in her community.

Kamilah Moorehead
Secretary
A native of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Kamilah Moorehead is a registered architect in the states of Florida and Maryland. She currently works for Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE). For Kamilah, NOMA is important for several reasons: it connects her with other minority architects; highlights the impact of architecture within the community; and inspires the younger generation by showing a career in architecture is attainable by individuals of all cultural backgrounds.
Viaronic Hill
Parliamentarian
Viaronic aka ‘V’ is a native from Baltimore, MD and is a registered architect in Washington DC. He currently works for the U.S. Navy as Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Officer. He first served with NOMA as the National Student Representative from 2011-2012 and carried over what he implemented to help establish NoFLo NOMA. To V, NOMA is more than an organization but is his professional family!
Monique Brown
President
Monique Brown is a registered architect with over 20 years in the AEC industry. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Monique is a proud alumna of the University of Florida and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU) and works at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE). Monique is passionate about mentoring and DEI+B, and NOMA provides many opportunities for her to pursue her goal of increasing the number of women and BIPOC in architecture.
Tracey Friley
Treasurer
AIA, NOMA, EDAC, LEED AP BD+C
Tracey Friley is a Senior Architect at The Haskell Company in Jacksonville, Florida. Although she has worked on various building types throughout her 27-year career, she finds the most reward designing for the Healthcare sector. Tracey earned her Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from Mississippi State University and is currently licensed in Mississippi and Florida. She is a professional member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and a very proud charter member of the North Florida NOMA Chapter.
